Natural Amazonite, Polished Specimens

With a history of use dating back nearly 4,000 years, the first recorded instances, i.e., the "discovery" of Amazonite occurred in the latter part of the 19th century, in Brazil, hence where the name is derived from. The stone itself was used in ancient civilizations such as Egypt and Mesopotamia. Discovered in King Tutankhamen's was a scarab ring with Amazonite intact.

Opening the Throat and Heart chakras, Amazonite is known as the "Peacemaker stone" for its calming abilities and its capacity for clear diplomatic communication and encouraging harmony in personal relationships.
